Routine questions should not need a meeting
A lot of meetings exist for one reason: people cannot get a straight answer to a routine question.
Is it done?
Who owns it?
What changed?
What is stuck?
That is not really a meeting problem. It is a visibility problem.
When the system is clear, people do not have to chase updates just to understand the state of the work. They can see what moved, what needs attention, and where a real decision is actually needed.
That is a better use of people. And usually a faster way to run a team.
